Men’s Soccer Program to Host All-Years Reunion April 16-18, 2010
West Virginia Wesleyan College is excited to announce an All-Years Men’s Soccer Alumni Reunion, scheduled for April 16-18, 2010, during Spring Weekend. The date will mark the 25th anniversary of Wesleyan’s first national soccer championship.
Since its inception in 1959, the Bobcat soccer program has won five national titles and 20 West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships.
“This will be an opportunity to catch up with friends and former teammates while reconnecting with the current players representing Bobcat soccer,” remarked Wesleyan soccer coach Gavin Donaldson.” All former players and coaches are invited to attend this special event.”
The weekend will begin Friday with a golf outing and a banquet. Saturday will feature an alumni five-on-five tournament, a current team spring game, and an all-day cook-out at the soccer fields.
“We would like to make the event the largest soccer reunion in the country,” stated Wesleyan Director of Athletics Ken Tyler. “Please make plans to be a part of this special event. We hope to see all of you back in Buckhannon next April!”
